Bears Rock III (Sept 13-15, 2013)

For those of you who've been "Livin' on a Prayer", BEAR ALBANY is once again whipping out our ROCK HARD party machine - BEARS ROCK! Last time everyone had such a great time HEAD BANGING and "Shouting At The Devil", that we're back by popular demand, Sept 13-15. Whether you were "Born On The Bayou", looking for a "Sugar Daddy", or trying to find your "Velvet Goldmine" for the evening, BEAR ALBANY welcomes all you "Fat Bottomed Girls" with "Open Arms". After all, we're just "Spirits In The Material World" and all wanting to see the "Good Times Roll". So be sure to bring your buddies to "Rock and Roll All Nite" and tell them to wear their favorite ROCK T-SHIRT. Cuz it's going to be one hell of a BIG BEAR with BIG HAIR weekend of partying!

The weekend kicks off Friday, Sept 13 at 9pm with BEARAOKE Meat & Greet at the WaterWorks Pub (76 Central Ave). It's a great time to "meat" new friends and "greet" existing buddies that you haven't seen in a while. Saturday afternoon we're heading over to ROCKS between 12:30-3pm for a FREE LUNCH and to bid on select hotties at the "Bear, Daddy, Big Boy, Cub, and Boy Auction". Plus the fabulous Freddy Freeman will be performing! Winning bidders of one (or more) of our volunteers get a gift certificate to take their adorable prize to dinner! Cash and Credit Cards will be accepted for winning bids, phone bids accepted, and payment must be made at the event. Be sure to keep an eye out for a preview of the hotties that have generously allowed themselves to be auctioned off for charity! The party starts at 9pm where you’ll be ROCKIN’ OUT with hundreds of hunky, hirsute, beefcakes from all over the Northeast. Pet Shop Bears (May 24-26, 2013)

Summer is just around the corner and we've got a fresh mixtape and our super soakers all geared up for Bear Albany's PET SHOP BEARS, 80's Dance Party! We're bring back all the fun of the 1980's by celebrating the Rubik's Cube, The Transformers, Super Nintendo, GI Joe, and our Nerf Footballs. Together we'll celebrate the holiday with Madonna, wear our sunglasses at night with Corey Hart, follow Kenny Loggins into the danger zone, and find synchronicity in the dark before we get arrested by The Police! Saturday Afternoon

While Memorial Day is to honor and give thanks to those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom, it also signifies the beginning of summer. And nothing else says summer than swimming, yard games, and getting your hands on a delicious weenie! That's right, we're doing it all at the Marriott Townplace Suites so you can go swimming, grab lunch on the patio between 12 noon until 1pm, and play some yard games on the lawn with your buddies. And to thank everyone before our summer break, Bear Albany will be providing free Hotdogs, Veggie dogs, Pasta salad, Potato salad, Chips, Water, and Soda. If you want anything harder than that, you can BYOB (Bring Your Own Bear - lol). Just make sure whatever you bring, it's pool-safe, and in a non-glass container. See who's going...

Punk Rock was big in the early 80's and it molded styles for generations to come. Still to this day, there's there's nothing more sexy and punk than black leather accessories and shiny metal studs. So to celebrate our 80's Bear Dance Party, Chained by Chuck is giving 10% off all purchases during the Bear Weekend! It's perfect for those of you looking for a little extra "bang" for your buck and as we all know, image is everything, especially in the dark!

Saturday Evening

Pull up your leg warmers, throw on a headband, and show off some chest hair at the PET SHOP BEARS main event, Saturday May 25, at 9pm @ ROCKS Club (77 Central Ave). Dive into the neon blur of thick, juicy, beefcakes wearing down their Kangaroos and Chuck Taylors on the dancefloor. Show everyone your Moon Walk, do The Worm, and pop lock and drop it like a Robot. We'll have some awesome drink specials, fantastic 80's dance music, and a late night bite to eat around midnight. There's $7 donation at the door ($5 before 10pm), which benefits the C4 AIDS Ward in Albany Medical Center.
